Deletion of Assault Police Caution

We have successfully applied for the deletion of a police caution issued to our client in relation to a minor domestic incident.

The caution had been issued a number of years prior to the  client contacting us, and although the caution did not have any direct implications on her professional career as she was retired, she was very unhappy to have the caution retained against her name.

After reviewing the evidence, and discussing the case with the client’s partner who was the complainant in the case, we concluded that there was a good case to argue for deletion.

We promptly prepared detailed representations and submitted them to the police.

The police initially refused our application for deletion, however on appeal the caution was ultimately expunged. Along with the deletion of the police caution, the police also deleted the client’s PNC arrest record, fingerprints and DNA, and also the custody image.
