ABH Police Caution removed for international Businessman

Our client had been issued with an Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) police caution a number of years ago. The client was now a successful international businessman, and frequently needed to travel overseas.

The client was looking to relocate for an extended period of time, however his police caution would have been revealed on his ACRO police certificate during background immigration checks.

We applied to the police for the client’s records, and even though the caution have been issued a number of years ago, and the amount of evidence was fairly limited, we were able to identify a very clear breach of the police caution guidance.

We promptly prepared detailed representation on our client’s behalf, and presented our findings to the police.

The police promptly acknowledged that they had made an error and expunged the client’s caution, PNC arrest record, and his biometric data.

Now that the caution is deleted, the client’s ACRO police certificate will state “no trace”.
