Deletion of Sexual Offence Caution
Our client had been issued with a caution for indecent assault. The caution although it had been issued a long time ago, was continuing to cause our client difficulties.
As our client worked in a regulated sector, and as the caution was for a sexual offence, it was being permanently disclosed on both a standard and enhanced DBS check.
Despite the length of time that had elapsed since the caution had been issued, we were able to gather together significant evidence which showed that the caution had been improperly issued.
we prepared detailed representations for our client and after a relatively brief period of time the police agreed to entirely delete the caution from the PNC, and expunge the client’s biometric data.
