Our client had been issued a police caution for soliciting a prostitute over 15 years ago. Given the nature of the caution it was being disclosed on an enhanced DBS certificate and was causing the client professional difficulties as he worked in a regulated sector.

Despite the caution’s age, we were able to obtain records which showed there had been some defects with the police’s investigation.

We promptly prepared the client’s application for deletion of his police caution. Within a relatively brief period of time the police notified us that they had deleted the client’s PNC record, and his biometric data (fingerprints and DNA).

After the caution was deleted the client was able to move on with his professional career without the caution on his record.
